DAY 1: NAIROBI

Welcome to Kenya! This East African country is home to diverse wildlife, spectacular lakes, savannahs, mountainous regions, the famous Rift Valley holding a volcanic creator mountain, and much more.

Upon arrival in Nairobi - the Kenyan capital, you will be met by a Lowana Tours representative and transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will be driven to the natural wonderland of Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. Mount Kilimanjaro, the still-glaciated monarch of Africa presides over Amboseli, thrusting three dizzying miles above the park’s grasslands. As Peter Matthiessen wrote in The Tree Where Man Was Born, “A snow peak in the tropics draws the heart to a fine shimmering painful point of joy.”

Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (L, D &B)

Discover the iconic Amboseli National Park, well known for its large herds of big-tusked elephants. A scenic park in its own right, Amboseli is synonymous with glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with natural springs, the savannah, and woodlands. The park is an excellent place to view the Big Five, as well as lesser-known and rare wildlife species.

DAY 3: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy early morning coffee & tea served with light snacks before departing for a pre-dawn game viewing drive within Amboseli before returning to the camp for a full breakfast. In the mid-morning, you have the option of visiting an authentic Maasai Village and thereafter, returning to the camp for lunch with a relaxed afternoon before embarking on another late afternoon game viewing drive and a sundowner at Observation Hill within Amboseli, returning to the camp after for refreshing, dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a varied array of activities, from exploring Amboseli National Park to thrilling safari activities, eco-tourism adventures, bush expeditions, and more. With plenty of wildlife to see, your game drives are likely to be filled with the delights of spotting game against the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. The crowning moment comes when you reach Observation Hill for your sundowner. Elevated above the seasonal Amboseli marshes where elephants and other game wallow in the mud and feed on the lush vegetation, the observation hill gives you a commanding view of the Amboseli ecosystem as you relax to enjoy idyllic sunsets and sip on a glass of a bubbly drink. Experience the rich Maasai culture, unchanged over millennia. Encounter the marvels of the best-kept cultural heritage from its natives.

DAY 4: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast depart Amboseli National Park for Tsavo West National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. In late afternoon go on a game viewing drive and later returning in good time for refreshing, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 5: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy early morning coffee & tea served with light snacks before departing for a pre-dawn game viewing drive within Tsavo before returning to the camp for a full breakfast. Thereafter enjoy the amenities and facilities while relaxing before going on a late afternoon game viewing drive and later returning in good time for refreshing, dinner, and overnight.

Overnight: Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge

Experience the breathtaking beauty and exhilarating adventures of the “Land of Lions and Lava” with an array of activities designed to stir your soul. From a variety of recreational excursions to visits to nearby landmarks to breakfast or cocktails in the bush, visit the Mzima Springs, a peaceful oasis at the heart of red-dusty Tsavo and this magical place.

Day 6, 7 & 8: KENYA NORTH COAST

After breakfast depart Tsavo West National Park for Severin Sea Lodge on the north coast of the Kenyan coast. Arrive in time for lunch at the Severin Sea Lodge and enjoy relaxing days and overnights.

Overnight: Severin Sea Lodge

The Severin Sea Lodge is located at Bamburi Beach directly at the Indian Ocean and affectionately built in a traditional African style: The round bungalows, the main building and the two swimming pools are arranged nestling amidst a beautiful palm garden. The rooms and suites are equipped with hand-made wooden furniture and with a stylish African design.

Day 9: NAIROBI

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be met by Lowana Tours staff and proceed to Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for lunch. This is followed by an “Out of Africa” tour with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Center. Afterwards go for farewell dinner in the world famous Carnivore Restaurant later transferred to Jomo Kenyatta INT Airport for your homebound flight.
