DAY 1: NAIROBI

Upon arrival in Nairobi - the Kenyan capital, you will be met by a Lowana Tours representative and transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast depart for the Great Rift Valley’s Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in good time for lunch at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. In the late afternoon enjoy a game drive within the Lake Nakuru National Park before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Located on a range of hills that form part western limits of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of Lake Nakuru National Park – on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, the scenery of Lake Nakuru is picturesque with the escarpment, dotted with euphorbia trees that rise from the lakeshore. Lake Nakuru National Park offers easy wildlife viewing for most big safari animals except for elephants. Black and white rhino as well as the Rothschild’s Giraffe species were reintroduced in the 1990s and have bred to healthy populations. Tree-climbing lions and leopards can often be seen occasionally during game-viewing drives.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart Lake Nakuru National Park and drive through the scenic Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara Sopa Lodge. In the late afternoon enjoy a game viewing drive within the Masai Mara Game Reserve before returning for refreshing, dinner and overnight.

Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their center.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart to Lake Naivasha and drive through the scenic Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive in time for lunch at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. A boat trip is planned in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Lake Naivasha is the largest lake in the Great Rift Valley which lies at about 1880 Meters. Naivasha lake level varies quite considerably, it is also a birdwatcher's fantasy. There are over 450 species in the immediate area including highland escarpments, which surround the lake to the south and west.

DAY 5: LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast depart to Lake Naivasha and drive through the scenic Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive in time for lunch at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. A boat trip is planned in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 6: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will be driven to the natural wonderland of Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at Kibo Safari Camp. Mount Kilimanjaro, the still-glaciated monarch of Africa presides over Amboseli, thrusting three dizzying miles above the park’s grasslands. As Peter Matthiessen wrote in The Tree Where Man Was Born, “A snow peak in the tropics draws the heart to a fine shimmering painful point of joy.”
Overnight: Kibo Safari Camp (L, D, B)
Discover the iconic Amboseli National Park, well known for its large herds of big-tusked elephants. A scenic park in its own right, Amboseli is synonymous with glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with natural springs, the savannah, and woodlands. The park is an excellent place to view the Big Five, as well as lesser-known and rare wildlife species.

DAY 7: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy early morning coffee & tea served with light snacks before departing for a pre-dawn game viewing drive within Amboseli before returning to the camp for a full breakfast. In the mid-morning, you have the option of visiting an authentic Maasai Village and thereafter, returning to the camp for lunch with a relaxed afternoon before embarking on another late afternoon game viewing drive and a sundowner at Observation Hill within Amboseli, returning to the camp after for refreshing, dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a varied array of activities, from exploring Amboseli National Park to thrilling safari activities, eco-tourism adventures, bush expeditions, and more. With plenty of wildlife to see, your game drives are likely to be filled with the delights of spotting game against the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. The crowning moment comes when you reach Observation Hill for your sundowner. Elevated above the seasonal Amboseli marshes where elephants and other game wallow in the mud and feed on the lush vegetation, the observation hill gives you a commanding view of the Amboseli ecosystem as you relax to enjoy idyllic sunsets and sip on a glass of a bubbly drink. DAY 8: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast depart Amboseli National Park for Tsavo West National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at Severin Safari Camp. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon enjoying the lodge facilities before dinner and overnight.

Severin Safari Camp is located in the largest Park in East Africa the Tsavo national park 250km from Nairobi and Mombasa. The tents provide a wonderful view of the landscape and the wild animals that pass freely at the water hole. Maasai warriors are representatives of the harmony of the Severin Safari Camp with man and nature.

The Camp serve breakfast, lunch and dinner at à la carte “Out of Africa” restaurant, the “Thorn Tree Bar” offers all kinds of refreshments.

DAY 9, 10 &11: KENYA SOUTH COAST – GALU BEACH

After breakfast depart Tsavo West National Park for Diani Beach on the south coast of the Kenyan coast. Arrive in time for lunch at the Pinewood Beach Resort and enjoy relaxing days and overnights.

Pinewood Beach Resort & Spa is a serene, simple, and friendly resort, located on Galu Beach about 40 km (25 miles) south of Mombasa. It has a total of 59 rooms and a variety of room types. The resort has an excellent range of services and activities, including a number of bars and bistros, massage and beauty salons, and extensive sporting facilities, such as tennis, squash, pool, and water sports.

DAY 12: NAIROBI

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be met by Lowana Tours staff and proceed to Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for lunch. This is followed by an “Out of Africa” tour with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Center. Afterwards go for farewell dinner in the world famous Carnivore Restaurant later transferred to Jomo Kenyatta INT Airport for your homebound flight.
